As many other renowned artists have had to do in the face of their international tours, for decades Mick Jagger has been incorporating into his lexicon numerous words and expressions of endless languages, some of them very different from their native English. However, he himself has now confessed that his learning method is quite similar to that of a parrot, since he is capable of correctly pronouncing greetings and other courtesy gestures towards his audience, but sometimes without understanding what he is specifically saying.

The leader of the group The Rolling Stones -who will be embarking on a world tour again this summer- revealed that his knowledge of the French language is quite deep, due to the long stays he has enjoyed in the European country since his earliest childhood. Also, Jagger speaks a little Spanish and, on the other hand , has to constantly fight with the peculiarities of German.

“I usually say something in the local languages when we are out. But I have to learn them like a parrot! German is not exactly my forte. How do we start the new one tour in Spain, I trust the little I know of Spanish, which is easier for me. But I’m good at French. I’ve spent a lot of time in France and I’ve been speaking French since I was little, since I was 11 years. I used to travel a lot with my parents to France”, said Mick in conversation with the British newspaper Daily Star.
