Jason Momoa could star in the movie “Minecraft”, based on the famous video game

The actor Jason Momoa continues to cement his status as an action-adventure movie idol. After reaping great popularity with his role as Aquaman in the comic book universe of the publisher DC

, now he could get an eye-catching job as the protagonist of the first big screen adaptation of the video game “Minecraft”: a mass phenomenon among the youngest.

According to media reports The Hollywood Reporter, the stocky artist faces the final stretch of the negotiations in which he has embarked with the distributor of the future film, Warner Bros., so the magazine almost assumes that Momoa -who has also participated in series such as “Baywatch” or “Game of thrones”– will be presented to viewers in this season perennial live-action film based on the title by Mojang Studios and Microsoft.

At the moment the original approach conceived by the studios to recreate this particular ecosystem of polygonal construction in the cinema is unknown, beyond that the film will be directed by Jared Hess, responsible for the films “Nacho Libre” and “Napoleon Dynamite”. Production sources hope that “Minecraft” will follow in the successful footsteps of other feature films from the world of video games such as “Detective Pikachu” or “Sonic”.

You have to remember that the first movie project tied to “Minecraft” was announced on 2014. After the resignation of each and every one of the directors who were hired to shape the plot, it was finally revealed that the plans had been directly cancelled.
