US lashes out at China for failing to condemn Russia's 'brutal' invasion of Ukraine

The United States regretted on Monday that China has not yet condemned the “brutal” invasion of Ukraine by Russia , and criticized that some senior Chinese officials repeat “the propaganda that emanates from the Kremlin”.

This was indicated in a press conference by the State Department spokesman, Ned Price, when speaking about the position of Beijing, an ally of Moscow.

“ Not only have we not seen China condemn, as every country should, the brutality that Russian forces are employing in Ukraine against the Ukrainian people“, Price pointed out.

“In fact -he remarked- we have heard some senior officials in China repeat like parrots part of the most dangerous propaganda that has emanated from the Kremlin”.

Washington has repeatedly warned China of the consequences of to offer military or economic support to Moscow, and has urged the Asian giant to play a more active role in stopping the Russian military invasion of Ukraine, which he is on his way to serving two months.

The American spokesman stressed that “it is a time” in which “every responsible country” has an “obligation to make clear where it stands on issues where nuances do not fit”, such as “the massacre of civilians and wanton human rights abuses” by Russian forces in Ukraine.
