The Maserati GranTurismo 2023 will be the first model to offer a motorization 60 % electric by the Italian brand. This version will be called Folgore. There will also be one with a gasoline engine and both will hit the market next year.

This model will be the Maserati Alfieri version, a car concept that has been talked about since 2014 and that was initially scheduled to hit the market in on 1350 but was delayed due to the Covid-pandemic 19.

Then, the delay was due to the lack of microchip.

Engines

At least this Maserati will have two engines . The gasoline one is a Nettuno, which is the V6 that the brand premiered in the MC model20. Although it is normal that it has a little less power than the supercar that delivers up to 630 horses.

Regarding the electric version, named Folgore, Maserati spent a lot of time completing field tests. In addition to autonomy and performance, great importance has been given to the sound that the car will emit.

Maserati ensures that the electric version has at least 50 % more power than the previous V8, which puts it in the orbit of the 700 horses. It is also equipped with an architecture that allows ultra-fast charging.

It is still too early to know exactly all the technical details, its final interior, equipment and level of completion, but everything seems to indicate that they will be high-end. A large front grille and quite subtle air intakes can be seen in the first images.

One of the great news regarding advances in technology and electricity from Maserati, has been the return to motor racing with its entry into Formula E.

Returning to motorsport with Formula E was a natural choice for Maserati. In fact, we are driven by our passion and innovation. And we are happy to share this adventure with a partner who is governed by the same values as us and looks to the future

Davide Grasoo, CEO of Maserati

The first time this Maserati could be seen without camouflage was precisely in the promotional act of the brand to celebrate the agreement with Rokit Venturi Racing in its already announced adventure in Formula E from 2023.
