A National Police aircraft, which was about to land at the Villavicencio airport, in the central zone of Colombia, where they traveled at least 10 uniformed officers of the institution, were injured when the plane they were traveling in collapsed.
According to the first investigations, the aircraft was caught in the middle of a gust of wind that took it off the runway when it was already touching the ground, ended in the surroundings of the airport and, immediately, the emergency units of this air terminal went to attend to the wounded soldiers.

The moment was captured by witnesses who recorded how the plane lost control dramatically, while the authorities warned of an incident that could be greater.
Local media reported that the pilot and passengers were immediately taken to the nearest hospital. They also clarified that the 10 police officers who were wounded are out of danger.
In the video circulating on networks it was seen how the plane began to fly low until it tilted to its left side, causing it to lose stability and crash on the ground.
The Police indicated that the aircraft, type Douglas DC-3, took off from the Police airport in Bogotá with the aim of transferring personnel uniform and teams to Florence and Villavicencio.
However , the official report indicates that the maneuvers of the pilots “allowed the plane to be taken to one side of the runway head, where all the occupants were evacuated”, preventing the tragedy from being greater.
