After it became known that El Tri will play in Group C of the World Cup in Qatar 2021, the Mexican Football Federation (FMF) began to plan all the preparation in relation at the start of the World Cup. According to information from ESPN, Ecuador will be the first confirmed rival. The report indicates that Gerardo Martino’s team will face the Ecuadorian team next June 5 . The match would take place at Soldier Field in Chicago.

South American Rivals for Mexico
The Ecuadorian team will not be the only rival to fear during the preparation period for the World Cup in Qatar 2022. It is estimated that El Tri will face Uruguay in the summer and the Brazilian team in September.
