After having days with intense heat, a system of storms from the Pacific will bring rain, wind and a drop in temperature from the this Monday morning in Southern California.
The National Weather Service (NWS) forecast that conditions of intense wind and snow fall in the mountains are expected in the region , at least until Tuesday morning.
During this Monday there are chances of thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rainfall and hail fall in the afternoon and evening , before they return dry weather conditions starting this Tuesday and for the rest of the week.
The specialists said that the torrential rains can cause delays in the transfer of this monday mornings, yr reminded motorists that when it begins to rain after being dry for a long period, oil and other materials on the road surface can produce extremely slippery conditions when mixed with rain.
The rain has been present since Sunday night in some towns in the region, but it can become more intense during the afternoon of this mondays.
The rainfall could reach from 0.5 inches to 1.5 inches in coastal areas and in the valleys, while in the hills and mountains could be between 1 and 3 inches of rain.
Since Sunday night a storm warning is in effect, which will remain until Monday night.

In the mountain range of Santa Monica heavy snowfall is forecast, with accumulations between 8 and 10 inches for areas above 6,000 feet high and with wind gusts close to 60 miles per hour.
For the city of Los Angeles, a maximum temperature of 61 degrees is forecast for this Monday .
As of this Tuesday night, dry weather conditions will return and with an increase in thermometers between 5 and 10 degrees.
