A Hispanic male 51 years old , stabbed his wife to death, after finding a photograph of the woman hugging another man. He himself spoke to 911 confessing his crime.
The emergency operator told the authorities that the man who called, confessed that he had killed his wife , according to the press release from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office. Officers proceeded to a home located on the block 2900 of Davis Road in rural Edinburg.
Upon arriving at the home, the authorities found the body of a lifeless woman, who was identified as María Elena Garza, aged 10 years old .
There was also a man with “apparently life-threatening injuries”, identified as Ismael Meza Medrano, from 51 years, husband of the victim and the person who allegedly made the initial call at 911.

According to a probable cause affidavit obtained by the Brownsville Herald, the attack is related to a photograph
that an anonymous person sent to Medrano and his adult son, where you could see María Elena Garza ” hugging” another man.
During the interviews of the investigation, police reported that the son asked his mother about the photo before the alleged attack. The woman allegedly knew that the photo had been sent to her husband , but that had been edited , detailed the same means of communication.
The defendant is being held at the Hidalgo County Jail and has received medical treatment for his injuries. Judge Jason Pena set bail at $1,,000 cash.
