The former president and businessman, Donald Trump, and two of his sons agreed to make a statement related to a civil lawsuit filed by investors in the who argue that the family tricked them into making bad investments in the businesses they were promoting.

According to the judicial proposal that was presented on Friday, Trump is scheduled to testify June 16, before his sons Donald Trump will appear Jr. and Eric Trump, who were cited on 10 and 12 of May respectively.

“The defendants have not yet offered a court date for Ivanka Trump”, the letter stated.

So far it is not known where and how the family depositions.

The former president was accused of violating the federal law against extortion and deceiving sellers who lost their money in a fraudulent marketing company that Trump endorsed on The Celebrity Apprentice, says the lawsuit filed by the four investors in the year 2018.

“Since 2005, at least until 2015, the defendants received millions of dollars in secret payments to promote and support ACN”, the lawsuit argues, referring to to a multi-level marketing company that was among the businesses the Trump family was backing, CNN reported.

“In return, Donald Trump Jr. told potential investors: ‘ You have a great opportunity before you at ACN without any of the risks most entrepreneurs have to take’, and that ACN’s flagship video phone was generating ‘half a billion dollars’ in sales per year.”

Furthermore, Trump told them that there was “experienced the opportunity” and that he had “done a lot of research” about it, and that his support “was not for money”, “not a word of it was true”, the suit stated.

The American tycoon’s lawyers argued that the investors did not have a case because they did not pay the family directly and claim that they are not responsible for any of their money losses.

On the other hand, last October, the former president was ordered to answer questions under oath in another civil suit. It linked accusations that Trump’s security guards mistreated people who were demonstrating in front of Trump Tower in New York.

The businessman, along with his children Donald Jr. and Ivanka Trump, filed a letter this week to appeal the judge’s order that they testify under oath, according to subpoenas from New York Attorney General Letita James’s civil investigation.
