“I had to tell my husband's lover that he had died”, and she made one last request

A woman who lost her husband after 10 years of marriage revealed that she chose to share the news with her spouse’s lover, who then made a shocking request.

Bridgette Davis was married to a man who had been struggling with bipolar disorder. She said her spouse lost her battle with depression at 2018.

Before his death, her husband had an affair with another woman.

While mourning her husband, Davis said she realized her lover would want to know about her passing .

Davis approached the other woman through a message direct from Instagram, but she wasn’t prepared for the request she would receive.

“Fk. I can’t believe this”, replied the lover to the news.

“I can’t, I feel lost. I can’t go through this again. He promised me”, she continued.

“Can I go to where he was buried?” asked the woman.

Davis answered: “No ” and shared the exchange in a now-viral TikTok video that has racked up more than 1.9 million views since it was posted a few days ago.

Davis begins the snapshot of the direct message exchange with the lover with a text on the screen that says: “When your husband of 10 years dies and you have to tell his lover.”

In the days following her initial TikTok video, Davis posted several follow-ups explaining more of the circumstances surrounding her husband’s death and her relationship with the mistress.

A video shows a screenshot of Davis asking the other woman if she knew about the marriage and children that Davis and her husband shared, and how long they had been together. together.

“I know a lot of things”, apparently the lady wrote.

“I needed support, (he) told me that he and I were peas in a pod”.

Davis then replied: ‘We have been together 10… I do not know anything about you. Other than that he said you weren’t his girlfriend and broke up with you.”

In other TikTok videos Davis posted, she shared how she found out about the affair: when her husband told her he had met someone through a dating site.

Despite her traumatic ordeal, Davis He declined to name the other woman. “I don’t want to cause any more trauma in her life,” Davis told the Daily Mail.
