Andriy Shevchenko opens the doors of his mansion to receive 150 Ukrainian refugees

The former Ukrainian soccer player Andriy Shevchenko, from 45 years old, he is very affected by the situation in his native country after the invasion of Russia, so he decided to get down to work and help in everything to his compatriots.

The now soccer coach revealed, in an interview with ITV News, some details of what he is experiencing when seeing thousands of children Ukrainians fleeing their homes in search of a better future.

“I try to support my country, I try to attract attention, I try to talk about exactly what is happening, I try to touch people’s hearts and then understand the circumstances. Of course, I try to collect humanitarian aid and help my country, my people, the refugees,” Shevchenko declared.

Although he currently lives in the United Kingdom, this has not been an impediment for him to distance himself from the difficult situation, to the point that he has already raised his hand to open the doors of his mansion and welcome 150 refugees.

“War is very cruel and it is difficult to see the cities destroyed, the people dying”, assured the former Chelsea and Milan player in the same interview.

The property, whose value would amount to 7 million pounds sterling, something as well as 9.2 million dollars, is located in the community of Wentworth, in Surrey.

The house, located on the street of Waverley Dr., is quite a good size and has large green areas, as well as a tennis court.
