An Asian woman from New York, who received more than 125 hit between the head, face and trampled seven times by a man who allegedly called her “Asian bitch”
, the Yonkers Police Department reported in a press release.
The victim was an elderly woman from 80 years old, who was returning home last Friday night when he saw a suspicious man, identified as Tammel Esco, of years, in front of the building where the woman resides.
The man allegedly used a racial slur when he walked past her , authorities said in the statement.
The woman ignored the suspect and entered the lobby of her building, but when she tried to open the second door to enter the residence, Esco approached her from behind and hit her in the head, throwing it to the ground, said the statement.
The surveillance of the building provided the content of the security cameras to verify the veracity of the fact, reported CNN.
In the audiovisual material, you can see a man incessantly beating a woman on both the head and the face more than 125 times and then stamping on it with the foot seven more times . Authorities said he ultimately spat on her.
The elderly woman suffered numerous bruises and lacerations to her head and face, fractures to the bones of her face and cerebral bleedingl, according to the press release.
The woman was transferred to a trauma center and is in stable condition, police officers reported.
The authorities said they responded to the incident around 6: 11 Friday afternoon, Esco was found outside the residence and placed under arrest without any disturbances, CBS News reported.
The man was arraigned in a Yonkers city court on Saturday and jailed in Westchester County Jail, the release said.
Furthermore, is accused of two serious crimes, including attempted murder and second-degree assault involving a victim of 65 years or older, court records revealed. Each charge is charged as a hate crime.
Esco has a summons for him in court for the day 25 of March. He will remain in custody without bail.
For his part, the mayor of Yonkers, Mike Spano, expressed in a statement that he hopes the man will be charged to the fullest extent possible for his “heinous actions.”
“Hate crimes are more than intolerable in our city,” said the mayor.
“This is one of the most heinous attacks I have ever seen; Hitting a defenseless woman is despicable and attacking her because of her race makes it even more so”, Yonkers Police Commissioner John J. Mueller said in the statement.
“This defendant should receive the maximum punishment allowed by law in order to send a clear message that violent and hateful behavior will not be tolerated in our communities,” he added.
In addition, Muller said that Esco has to his credit 14 arrests and numerous convictions .

CBS reported that Esco was in a drug abuse rehabilitation program substances after his arrest last year . Previously, was 42 months jailed for a stabbing in 2010.
