Along with dive teams looking for more human remains, as well as officials from the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), is a sniper from the sheriff’s office, who protects divers from any undesirable encounter with these reptiles.

This county’s sheriff, William Snyder, revealed that a biologist from the state Freshwater Game Commission was working in this area of the reserve on Wednesday when saw what he thought was an alligator with one arm human,
after which he alerted the security forces, who found the limb that night.

L The authorities have found in the last 24 hours two other parties of human bodies, one of them in the mouth of an alligator, while they are determining whether they belong to the same person or not, as reported by the channel local WPTV.

Trained dogs, off-road vehicles and even a helicopter also participate in the official investigations, in an operation that has led to the closure of the park .

Snyder pointed out to the media that, although they do not rule it out, the remains found do not seem to correspond to the hypothesis of a person who fell into the water and died “of natural causes”.

“We are a few miles from Palm Beach County. We have had what we call ‘body dumps,’ meaning the disposal of human remains originating from Palm Beach County. That has been going on for decades,” the officer noted.

Snyder added that No one has been reported missing in Martin County, but they are in contact with neighboring Palm Beach County, where there are 10 missing persons.
