A loose cow put Animal Control Service officers to work in their attempts to catch her this Wednesday in the Lake area View Terrace, North Los Angeles.

The cow traveled a highway, several city streets and a shopping center parking lot, where it even climbed some stairs to escape the officers.

The unusual chase began approximately at noon, when the cow was located on the Highway 210, in the north of the San Fernando Valley.

The officers of the Animal Control Services followed the cow on foot and in several vehicles taking her off the highway, where vehicular traffic was stopped while trying to lasso the animal.

In its escape, the cow entered the parking lot of the shopping center, where again and again managed to dodge the officers, some of them with lassoes.

However , and to the surprise of the officers, the cow safely climbed a flight of stairs, where she was close to being caught , to continue its escape on another road.

Later, the animal entered the land of a property that seemed to be a ranch, where she was finally caught by the Animal Control Service and other residents unharmed.

So far, it was not clear how the cow appeared loose on the highway 210.
