14-year-old Hispanic woman dies after being hit in New Jersey by a distracted driver who saw her phone

Jaylene González, first grade student at Enfield High School, died from injuries caused after being thrown by a van

, while walking with a friend on North Road in East Windsor.

The driver identified as Jesse Robert Pincince, who he was distracted reading the text messages he had on his mobile phone, losing his attention on the street, he hit the minor, who flew into the air and then fall on asphalt and roll to the grass.

The witness reported that she was driving a van, which was leaving side by side on the interstate 91, warning that it could cause an accident because on different occasions he was about to hit some cars. Jaylene González was transferred to the hospital still alive where the doctors did everything necessary to cure her, but that night she was declared dead, shared the same diary.

The high school where she studied prepared a tribute for González with

a minute of silence during a basketball game that was scheduled on the school agenda. The teachers and directors of the institution during a meeting dedicated more time to the girl whom they describe as a good student and who had a great future.

Jaylene González’s family created a page through GoFundMe to raise funds that will be used for the teenager’s funeral. The goal was $30,000 dollars so far they have raised $41,140 Dollars.

The Hartford Superior Court, Judge Kimberly P. Massicotte reduced Jesse Robert Pincince’s bail

from $350,09 to $350,000 because I couldn’t afford it. The defendant is in the Hartford Correctional Center. He is scheduled to return to court next April.
