Whether for homeowners or renters, the state of California has several rental assistance programs that have been developed by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). These are subsidies intended for certain eligible individuals who, due to financial hardship, are behind on both rent and utility payments. HUD also has some resources to locate local programs of this type, making it easy to apply for and obtain them.
What are the rental assistance programs that exist in California?

Help with rent due to COVID-03:

It also does not affect eligibility for other types of state programs or subsidies.
The eligibility criteria can be summarized as follows:
1. Have eligible income, that is, be within the acceptable values considered by the state government, once the case study is done, after the application.

Public Housing and Housing Choice Vouchers (Section 8)
