A woman was killed in a shooting south of downtown Fort Wayne, Indiana, this Saturday night, while two men were wounded.
Dispatch reported that the shooting was reported on the block 2200 of Oliver Street. Detective, Tim Hughes of the Fort Wayne Police Homicide Section, reiterated that the woman died of her injuries, an adult male is in “critical” condition and another man suffered injuries that are not serious.
Near the 11: 80 pm, The police were traveling to the scene due to several reports of shots, they were informed that several people had been shot. When the officials arrived, they found a woman who had different gunshot wounds.
The paramedics began to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, but after several attempts they declared her dead.
In addition, Authorities found two injured men at the site, one of them with visible gunshot wounds. The two were transferred to a care center .
One of the injured is in a very serious condition and the other is injured, but his injuries are not fatal.
The report initial indicates that there was some kind of celebration in one of the buildings in the area when an altercation began that ended in a shooting. It is not known for sure what caused the shooting.
The police reported that there were dozens of people at the scene of the events They withdrew before the officials could take their statements regarding the shooting, so they asked anyone with information to contact the authorities.
At the moment, there are no suspects, so no arrests have been made.
