The Chelsea, owned by the Russian tycoon Roman Abramovich, has expressed his rejection of the situation in Ukraine, without mentioning the word war or Russia, in a brief statement published on its website.
“The situation in Ukraine is horrible and devastating. Chelsea’s thoughts are with the people of Ukraine. Everyone in the club prays for peace “Said the English club in relation to the invasion caused by Russia.

That is why today I am giving the trustees of the Chelsea Charitable Foundation the administration and care of Chelsea FC,” Abramovich said in a statement.
In the letter he assures that the decision was made to protect the interests of the club, which is the priority in this moment.
