HOUSTON – The ex-boyfriend of a woman was shot to death by her new boyfriend after an altercation in the southeast of the city this Wednesday at night, according to the Houston Police.
The incident occurred on the block 5500 of Groveton Street shortly before 11 pm
According to Lieutenant Lt. R. Wilkens, the woman and her new boyfriend were in the inside a residence when her ex-boyfriend apparently forced his way in.
The lieutenant said that the ex-boyfriend was intoxicated and that the two men after an argument began to fight.
During the fight, the woman’s new boyfriend took out a pistol and shot his rival in the abdomen and finished him off in the head. The ex-boyfriend died at the scene, according to police.

The new boyfriend allegedly told his girlfriend he didn’t mean to shoot her and ran out of the residence before officers arrived on scene.
The Police reported that they know the identity of the man, and have asked him to turn himself in.
The case remains under investigation.
