Six adolescents between 17 and 19 years were arrested by the Indianapolis police and charged with armed robbery at various establishments in the town. One of the assailants is still a fugitive from justice.
Since November of last year, the authorities began to receive complaints from cell phone stores regarding several young people who assaulted with a gun, threatening employees and customers who were in the place, even once they aimed directly at a 2-year-old boy.
In the last store they robbed, located on South Emerson Avenue, the police already had them detected and they were under surveillance, which facilitated their arrest. According to official reports, the youths robbed nine stores with a total estimate of thousands of dollars in merchandise.
“Common sense will tell you: when people walk into stores with guns it is such a volatile end what could happen ”, Vicente Stewart, sergeant of the Metropolitan Department of the Indianapolis Police, told Fox News 59.
The thieves are: Robdarius Williams from 19 years, Quintez Tucker Jr. of 18 years, Gregory Clifton of 18 years, Labaron Ferguson of 17 years, Darrelle Risper of 16 years and Evan Bannon from 16 years, the first one detained by officers in days past.
D’Maurah Bryant from 19 years old, currently wanted on a warrant on charges of armed robbery. All suspects will face charges in adult court.
“We will find them and hold them accountable to the fullest extent of the law , so at the end of the day, we ask you not to. The main goal is to hold these people accountable for their actions,” Stewart told the news.
