Porto and Sporting Lisbon drew 2-2 this Friday in a match between both clear candidates for the title and that ended with players from both teams falling to blows and with four expelled.
The Uruguayan Sebastián Coates of Sporting was expelled in the minute 49 after receiving two yellow cards that left the team conditioned and that fueled the spirits between both teams.
After giving 10 minutes of extra time Paulinha, Sporting striker, touched the face of Agustín Marchesín, Porto’s Argentinian goalkeeper, who immediately feigned pain, but later he got up to rebuke and pick a fight with his rival.
Several players started exchanging words and then one of them ball boys and employees of s Porto’s security guards also got into the fight, without any of the refereeing body being able to control the situation.
The end of the Clássico between Porto and Sporting can only be described as unfortunate and embarrassing.

Pepe, the former Real Madrid defender, was sent off despite being substituted on the minute 60 , like his teammate Marchesin, who did not even play a minute on the pitch. Two players who did not see minutes were also expelled by Sporting: Palhinha and Tabata.
The Portuguese Federation will have to determine the sanctions that will be imposed on the protagonists of one of the images of the year in Portuguese football and that will have important repercussions in the definition of the league of Portugal, which is outlined again to the Porto title.
Porto is the leader of the Portuguese League with 60 points in 22 days and kept the six difference with Lisbon, who adds 54 in the same number of games. Benfica is in third position with 47 units and one game less.
