The Del Rio Border Patrol found two five-year-old girls in less than two days. One is from Guatemala and the other from Honduras, neither of them was in the company of an adult.
“Another five-year-old girl found, with her they are already two by two days,” the Border Patrol said on its official Facebook account.
The officials found one of the girls walking alone along the border wall in Rio Grande, Texas. After talking with the minor, the agents learned that she was originally from Guatemala and that she had crossed the Rio Grande alone.
This is the second incident of this type that has happened in this area and just to the same security body in less than two days.
The other girl from Honduras, also five years old , she was not alone, but there were no adults around her either.
“She was found with three other children, the oldest of 16 years” pointed out the Border Patrol, which published photographs of the girls with identity protection correspondent.
One year has passed since the appointment of the White House task force in charge of reunite forcibly separated families on the border with Mexico during the presidency of Donald Trump.
However, at least about 1,500 children have not yet been returned to their parents, many of them deported alone to their countries of origin and that they know where they are.
