Youth Violence: Teen Shooting in Broad Daylight; 13-year-old boy was shot and a girl was run over

HOUSTON – Houston Police investigate a shooting involving teenagers outside a store in the southwest of the eastern city Tuesday afternoon.

The Police gave the details of the incident this Thursday to report that the young people involved have been arrested.

Two teenagers are under arrest in connection with the shooting that left a child of 13 years old shot and another girl 14 years old run over during the violent incident that occurred in the parking lot of a store located in the block 7500 of Bissonnet Street.

Police said the suspects arrived in a vehicle at the parking lot and got out to approach another vehicle and began shooting.

The young man from 13 years old was impacted several times inside the vehicle.

During the incident, the suspects while fleeing the area ran over a 14 year old girl as they sped out of the parking lot.

During the report this Thursday, the Police announced the arrest of a young man aged 14, his name has not been revealed because he is a minor, and to Corey Watkins, aged 19 years old.

The suspects were arrested this Wednesday after a small chase where the 16 year old was driving .

Watkins faces charges of possession of a deadly weapon and evading arrest. The young man of 16 has been identified as the shooter in the incident that left the young man of 13 years.

The shooting victim is in a hospital recovering from her injuries and it is anticipated that she will survive.

The girl from 14 years was also hospitalized with a fracture in her leg and is hospitalized.
