Shaquille O’Neal recently spoke on his podcast “The Big Podcast with Shaq” about the obligation to get the covid vaccines and that it should be each person’s choice.
The former Los Angeles Lakers and Miami Heat NBA player urged people to “be safe” and make the right decisions for themselves and their families, but argued that no one should be “forced ” to take the coronavirus vaccines.
“Look, I encourage everyone to be safe and to take care of and protect their families,” assured the former NBA player in an interview with Nischelle Turner. “But there are still people who don’t want to get the vaccine and they shouldn’t force people to get something they don’t want,” said O’ Neal.
Turner disagreed with the former basketball player and argued that the fact that employers require their employees to get vaccinated against COVID-19 is not mandatory. urge people to get vaccinated. “It’s forcing people because if people don’t get vaccinated, they get fired,” said O’Neal bluntly.
These words come after O’Neal was one of the most critical of the stance of Kyrie Irving, who has refused to be vaccinated against the virus.
“In this game of ours sometimes you have to think about others instead of yourself. Kyrie has his opinions and his point of view. I’m not going against that, but he has an obligation for which he is earning 200 millions of dollars. Once you sign that you have no privacy and you have to accept it”.
