TEXAS – Border authorities in the Big Wells area rescue dozens of immigrants
undocumented from a dangerous situation.
The incident was captured on video by the camera of a patrol that made the traffic stop.
According to the Border Patrol agency, 60 undocumented migrants ended up under arrest after being found inside a cargo truck.
In the images you can see the moment when an officer tries to make a traffic stop, but the truck driver tries to escape and starts a small chase.
The office The Dimmit County Sheriff’s Office reported the case to the federal agency after some of its officers made a traffic stop and discovered the truck’s cargo.
The agency announced in a statement that officers conducted a traffic stop routine traffic shortly before 7 am on Sunday. The truck stopped, but the driver tried to flee on foot as soon as the trailer stopped.
A Dimmit County Sheriff’s deputy managed to capture the suspect before he managed to escape the area.
The authorities then lifted the cover of the truck and discovered that it was full of people. All of them were transferred to a Border Patrol detention center in Carrizo Springs, Texas.
The incident happened along the Highway 85, near Big Wells Township, about 100 miles southwest from San Antonio.
