The Dominicans reacted in the third inning, in which they took command of the match, in an episode that Carlos Paulino started with a double down the right field, scoring later on a triple by José Siri. He stepped on the plate for a double by Hanser Alberto, who then scored on a force out hit at second by Ozuna , in which the second baseman made an error in the initial shot, which allowed him to advance to the register.

The Dominican batters took advantage of the uncontrolled pitching of the Panamanians, who granted five walks , to score three runs in the closing of the seventh inning, to recover the lead of the match.

The Giants’ first run in that inning came from an RBI double by Alberto and the other two by walks with the bases loaded to Ozuna and Kelvin Gutiérrez.

LDominicans scored their last run by double to Canó’s left field

in the eighth episode.

Maya, who left without a decision, did her job with the Dominicans, throwing five innings of two runs and four strikeouts, leaving the game with the Giants up front.

The victory went to Ryan Kussmaul (1-0), who in one inning allowed two hits, one run and struck out a batter.
