The Jalisco Charros, representatives of Mexico in the Caribbean Series 2022, they were able to come back to win their first game in the baseball tournament.

Just as the night before the Charros were whited by the Magellan Navigators (Venezuela), this time the Mexicans paid for it with the Caimanes de Barranquilla and they won by the minimum 1-0 in a tight match.

In the upper part of the second inninf Félix Pérez took advantage of a fastball thrown by Porfirio López to take it out for a home run. With that advantage, the Mexican pitchers were jewels from the mound.

With this victory, the Charros leave the basement of the standings and are still alive to get into the semifinals. In the next few days they will face Puerto Rico and Panama. For their part, the Caymans, a real surprise in this Caribbean Series, will face each other this Monday against the Dominican Republic with the intention of regaining the lead.
