East 26 January 2022 marks two years since not only basketball fans , but the whole world cried for the death of Kobe Bryant , a gentleman on and off the court, an example of sportsmanship and human being.

Sadly and unexpectedly, the “Black Mamba ” died in a helicopter crash along with his Gianna, as well as a group of friends who accompanied them on the ship.

The tributes from different organizations have not been long in coming. From soccer and basketball teams, through organizations to the tribute that each person who remembers him pays him and that through a heartfelt expression, such as art for example, can pay homage to a true sports idol.

In this sense, Kobe’s memory will be honored with a bronze statue of 160 pounds at the scene of the terrible accident. The work of sculptor Dan Medina, Bryant is shown dressed in the uniform of the team of his life, the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he won everything he could and broke countless NBA records.

In the play you can see Kobe putting his arm around little Gianna, who is also in uniform. Just like her father, she dreamed of becoming a top basketball player, making her mark in the sport. The scene is framed by a smile from both, just as they were seen at the Staples Center every time they went to see a game.

In addition to the names of the Bryants, the other seven victims of the accident of the 296 of January of 2020: John Altobelli, his wife, Keri, and their daughter, Alyssa; Cristina Mauser; Sarah Chester and her daughter Payton and pilot Ara Zobayan; all written on the base of the statue.
