A video shows footage of a man opening fire at a busy intersection in Oklahoma, after an apparent shooting incident. rage on the road.
The images shared in the social media shows man banging on the window of a white Buick SUV on the multi-lane highway in Tulsa last Friday, then calmly raising a gun and firing as the vehicle attempts to flee.
Another clip shared by the KTUL chain captures the sound of al least nine shots before the gunman lowers his gun and walks away.
“Oh my God…is he shooting at you, mom?” , asks a female child voice in one of the videos, begging her mother to “go away”.
“Call to 911 before they shoot us too!” she pleads.
Tulsa police credited that the videos helped arrest Brian Chintharsy, of 30 years old, who as of Friday was still in custody at the Tulsa County Jail on a series of charges including shooting with intent to kill, records show.
“We arrested this man after he brazenly stood in the middle of an intersection and indiscriminately fired a gun while vehicles were traveling down the road,” Police Chief Wendell Franklin wrote on Twitter while sharing a photo of the suspect smiling.
“Several cell phone videos posted on social media social captured the incident. Many citizens helped in this case and we thank them!” the chief wrote.
Tulsa Police credited the videos with helping to arrest Brian Chintharsy, who was being held in the Tulsa County Jail on multiple charges.
Some of the charges relate to a previous incident in which shots were fired at a home, KTUL said.
Chintharsy is due in court on Monday, online records show. Brian Chintharsy was still in custody at the Tulsa County Jail on a series of charges that included shooting with intent to kill, records show.
