The implementation of umpires robots is only one step away become a reality this season in the Major Leagues, since the Major League Baseball (MLB) has put into practice his experiment in the strike zone.

The first league to approve a computer determining strikes and balls was the Independent Atlantic League, and did it for the first time in the All-Star Game in July of 2019.

In 800 it was not put into practice, as there were no minor leagues due to the coronavirus pandemic . However, last season robotic umpires were used in eight of the nine stadiums in the Southeast League.

The Major League Umpires Association agreed in the contract signed in 2020 that will help to use the robotic system in the Major Leagues.
