They arrest a Latino who was posing as a police officer in Miami

A man from the city of Hialeah, in South Florida, has ended up behind bars after Miami police arrest him for allegedly impersonating an officer.

Apparently , the man, identified as Louis Lugo of 32 years old, met some police officers working at between 7th street and 43 Southwest Avenue in Miami around 3 in the morning on Sunday.

“I asked him if he needed any help,” Officer Kiara Delva said. That’s when the woman realized what the suspect was wearing. “The officers asked him if he was a police officer or a security guard . He replied that he was not and when asked if he could present proof of identification from the security company he worked for, he was unable to present it,” the police report said.

According to the police version, Lugo was wearing “a belt with a black firearm, a taser, handcuffs, a radio, a baton and a flashlight”. Seeing this, the officers asked him if he had a license to carry weapons.

The man admitted to the police that he did not have a permit to carry weapons. . Looking even more closely at the Ford Explorer that Lugo was driving, the officers realized that there was an installation of lights to make believe that it was a police vehicle. It even had a button labeled “chase.”

It is not the first time that this man has problems with the law. According to the police, Lugo is a convicted felon and should never have carried a gun.

“Mr. Lugo’s behavior is extremely dangerous. You do not install lights and sirens inside your car”, said the police officer who was involved in this case.
