The public confrontation of Britney Spears with her younger sister Jamie Lynn has only served, for the moment, to reopen old wounds and cause the famous singer to once again remember the lack of support that he would have received from almost his entire circle of relatives when he lost control over his personal and professional affairs.
Britney was subject to legal guardianship -since 2008 until 2021- that his father was in charge of supervising during most of that time, and doesn’t forgive Jamie Lynn for sitting idly by back then, “doing nothing ” To help her. Nor does he forget the accusations he recently made about the erratic behavior that she allegedly displayed in the past.
While promoting his autobiography “Things I should have said”, the sister of the princess of pop commented in a television interview that Britney locked them both in a room while holding a knife, before a judge decided that she was not capable of taking care of herself. She has responded with an open letter posted on Twitter -after that both exchanged a couple of posts on Instagram in the last days-, in which he confesses that he has hurt him a lot. The interpreter had previously said that Jamie Lynn “never had to work for anything” and has now retracted this comment as a gesture of goodwill, but no has been able to avoid reminding her of the conditions in which she lived for more than a decade.
“I know you have worked hard for the life you have and what you have done is incredible. But… what my dad did to me, they don’t even do to criminals… so for you to feel and act as if you could stay out of what has happened to me, it honestly seems crazy to me, “he said. “It took ages to give me a cup of coffee… people who have killed other people and are in jail or on death row can have all the coffee they want… Honestly, I’m surprised Dad isn’t in prison!”
Britney still loves her sister unconditionally, but he is not sure where his loyalty lies: “I think what saddens me the most is that, when all this happened to me and when I called you from that place, You took days to respond. I could never talk to you”, he concluded.
