The woman asked the neighbors for help to call the police or take out a gun to kill the animal.

A Florida woman was out walking her dog in front of her house when a bear attacked her causing several injuries to her face.
The woman, who identified herself as Aydee, was attacked around the Thursday 9pm. Apparently, and according to his account, it all happened when he came face to face with a mother bear who had been walking scared through the neighborhood
. Seeing it, Aydee fled in terror but the animal followed her and even scratched her.
“When I found out, she locked me up. I ran away, but she came running after me ”, explained the woman in statements to the media locals while showing his large cut on the left side of his forehead.

“I started yelling at my neighbors to see if any of them could call the police, help me or take out a gun to shoot the animal”, he recounted.
Awston Kennedy, a resident of the area, was one of the witnesses of this situation when the woman knocked on his door
several times in search of help and concerned for the well-being of her dog.

The man said that just before the attack, the mother bear was up a tree in front of to his house and that he went down for a few minutes to see what was in a dumpster near the road. Neighbors tried to chase the animal away, but it went after Aydee.

After the attack, the neighbors managed to scare the mother bear and her cubs until the authorities arrived. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office responded to the call. The officers found the mother bear and her three cubs sitting in front of a tree.
Finally the mother bear was euthanized and it was determined that the three puppies, each with an approximate weight of 100 pounds, were old enough and large enough to survive on their own.
