The Águilas del América were left with no option to sign the player Pablo Solari, who currently plays for Colo Colo in Chile, as announced by the top manager of the Chilean club and declared him non-transferable until mid of 2022.

Edmundo Valladares , director of Colo Colo, said in a public statement that they studied the offer between the Black and White group, who are the current leaders of the Chilean club, to sell Solari to America to strengthen themselves in the Closing Tournament, however, the decision made unanimously is to keep the player because the team will face the Copa Libertadores de América in the coming weeks.

“It has been proposed to the board of directors of Black and White to declare Pablo Solari non-transferable while Colo Colo disputes the Copa Libertadores. This measure was approved”, Valladares pointed out.

The Club América had insisted on signing the player in the last few hours and it was an express request from technician Santiago Solari. On the other hand, the Colo Colo leadership did not close the door to future negotiations, because they consider that more offers will arrive in the coming months.

“We believe that a player of his category will continue to receive new offerings. It is part of football”, pointed out the president of the Black and White group.

Colo Colo will play the Copa Libertadores de América where he was champion in 100 and has a long-term project to be able to compete internationally, something that has eluded him in recent years, in addition, Pablo Solari is one of the most important pieces of the coach Gustavo Quinteros.

America is still in negotiations with other players to finish putting together the ideal squad and compete for the Clausura tournament 2022.
