Two Hispanic daycare workers in the Inland Empire face child abuse charges due to injury to a baby

Two Hispanic female daycare workers in the Inland Empire received charges of child abuse and conspiracy after a baby who was under his care suffered a serious physical injury, reported the authorities.

Rudie Maldonado, aged 50 years old, and Felicia Ferra, from 50, workers at the Kiddie Academy, in Rancho Cucamonga, were arrested in connection with the case, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department said.

Authorities went to Loma Linda University Medical Center, on September 4, 2021, upon receiving a report of an 8-month-old boy who had suffered a skull fracture , according to a statement.

The minor was at Kiddie Academy under the care of Maldonado and Ferra.

Both were arrested for alleged conspiracy to hide the baby’s injuries and neglect of her well-being.

Maldonado received a bond of $100,000 dollars and was released after making the payment.

After the issued an arrest warrant against Ferra, the worker turned herself in at the West Valley Detention Center , informed the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Department.
