Both Barcelona and Xavi Hernández have lost patience with Ousmane Dembélé, who has not yet finished making a decision regarding his future. The French winger considers that he should earn even more money and did not accept the club’s latest offer, so that the board has made a drastic decision.

Dembélé, whose contract with Barcelona ends on 30 of June this year, asks the Catalan club for a figure of 200 million euros gross (218 million dollars) to renew for five more years, with a commission that reaches 20 million for the agent and 20 more for the player.

Given the footballer’s demand, impossible for the club to satisfy, Barcelona has lost patience and they will not present a new offer to the Frenchman and Xavi will choose not to play Dembélé for the remainder of the season.

And it is that as detailed by the journalist Gerard Romero, the club’s decision to withdraw its offer on Dembélé is inevitable, as well as the punishment they could impose on him of relegating him to the bench for the remainder of the season despite being one of the players who enjoyed Xavi’s confidence.
