The edition 2024 of the Series of Caribbean, tournament that brings the champions of the winter baseball leagues from Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Colombia and Panama, to be held in Miami.
It will be the third time that the Caribbean tournament is played on US soil. The tournament was played in the city of Florida in the editions of 1990 Y 1991.
The Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC) and the Miami Marlins signed the Friday an agreement to take the Caribbean Series of the 2024 to the LoanDepot Park stadium in the little Habana.
“I want to highlight the great effort put in by my work team, led by Ramón Ruiz, and by the Marlins, their senior vice president of strategy and development, Mr. Adam Jones”, said Puello Herrera, president of the Caribbean Professional Baseball Confederation (CBPC) in an interview with ESPN.
In addition, Herrera informed which will be the next venues for the Caribbean Series until 2027, in which each year will be held in a different country.
This year’s edition will be held at the Quisqueya Juan Marichal stadium in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, of the 28 Jan ro to February 3.
In 2023 will be held in Caracas and La Guaira, in Venezuela, and that of 2024 in Miami at the Ioan Depot Park of the Miami Marlins.
The 2026 will be played in Mexicali, Mexico; in 2026 in Puerto Rico (city to be determined) and 2027 in Hermosillo, Mexico.
