While the family of Octavio Ocaña is still looking for new evidence to help clarify what happened last 29 October, day the actor passed away, one of his last interviews resurfaces in which he talks about the plans he had for this 2022, the year in which he would premiere a project that he was looking forward to with great emotion.
One of the last appearances he made to the actor before he died was for the program ‘First Hand’, where he shared how happy he was to return to the television screen with the program ‘Neighbors’, where he won the affection of the public who saw him grow up with his character from “Benito Rivers”, stage that remembers having lived like any other child.
“ I lived through it all like a normal child, I was already in this environment and I I looked normal , like my other classmates at school, in soccer, I don’t care if I go out on TV “He said in a video call.
The young man of 22 years explained that his return to television meant a new opportunity that he happily accepted, where being accompanied by great actors made his job easier.
“They gave me the opportunity again in Neighbors and I resumed, it was not so complicated, they supported me very well. I felt nervous: ‘Now what’s up, what do I do?’, because I walked away from everything , and again here they open the doors for me and I get infected by these same people that the career of the companions is impressive . Once again I got to his rhythm, a little not so cannon, but here we go, making him want it, ”he added.
However, he also confessed which was complicated because people never stopped seeing him as the funny kid they saw growing up during his time on the sitcom.
“It’s complicated, it is very difficult for people to see you differently. People do not stop seeing me with the same grace that they know me, so if I want to do something serious it is a bit complicated, but people like me to be there “.
The interview that was recorded three months before his tragic death, Octavio Ocaña confessed that he never studied acting, so it was easier when he was a “ tender and giving boy grace” to this last stage of his life, in which he had to make an effort to do things well and to be satisfied with his work.
One of the most nostalgic moments came when the actor revealed that he had big plans for this 2022, including two new projects, one of them a comedy show in which he was going to interact with the public and that had been postponed for various reasons.
“I have a new project, I still can’t comment on them until they authorize me, but I’m going to let you know, it will be very soon. I’m also doing a stand up that we are writing the same, but we will see the presentations for next year (2022)“, I started with this since January, it has not been possible for one thing or another, but let’s hope next year if it’s already possible, they will be seeing me there whenever they like”, is heard saying.
