FC Barcelona showed a decent face in the classic against Real Madrid. Many did not give a penny for Xavi Hernández’s team, but, despite the defeat, they managed to stand on the pitch in a good way . However, the Blaugrana team had to settle for the bitter and painful defeat, but Ronald Araujo suffered double pain in the Spanish Super Cup.

The Uruguayan center-back unleashed the admiration of the Catalan fans. Araujo played that momentous game with a couple of screws embedded in the bones of his right hand . The information was released by the journalist Fabrizio Romano. Through Twitter he published an X-ray of the player’s hand.

Why did Araujo have screws in his right hand?

Ronald Araujo suffered a fracture in the second and third metacarpals of his right hand. This injury occurred in a match for the Copa del Rey against Linares, on January 6. The defender played part of the first half with strong gestures of pain and a bandage on his hand. For the second half he was replaced by Gerard Piqué.

The soccer player underwent surgery under the responsibility of Dr. Xavier Mir. After the operation, only five days passed and Araujo returned to the courts to face him to the mighty Real Madrid.
