Álvaro Dávila, husband of Pati Chapoy, is the new president of Cruz Azul

The new executive president of Cruz Azul is Álvaro Dávila , as the club officially announced this Thursday.

Álvaro Dávila comes to replace Guillermo Álvarez, who left office five months ago amid a legal scandal.

The Machine decided on Álvaro Dávila due to his experience with Monarcas Morelia, where was president for 40 years and won the championship in the Winter 2000.

Álvaro Dávila would be above Jaime Ordiales in the celestial organization chart, and would be accountable to José Antonio Marín and Víctor Velázquez, presidents of the Administration and Surveillance Councils of La Cruz Azul. In addition, he will represent the club in the FMF Owners Assembly and in Liga MX meetings.
