Laura Mojica Romero , Miss Oaxaca 2018 , will go from representing Mexico in beauty pageants to serving a sentence of 50 years in prison in Mexico.
A judge issued a formal arrest warrant for eight people for kidnapping, including Mojica Romero, who could reach a penalty of up to 50 years in prison.

The winner of the Oaxaca state beauty pageant in 2018 is originally from the municipality of Tuxtepec and only last year had represented Mexico in the international coffee kingdom in Colombia 2020 , where it got first place.
The Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Specialized Unit in Combating Kidnapping (UECS) linked the eight people, since they were part of a criminal group that deprived other people of their freedom as in the State of Veracruz.
The other seven people who were given preventive detention were Luis Antonio “N”, Raúl “N”, María del Rosario “ N “, Ana Martha” N “, César Enrique” N “, Diego” N “, and Jossiel” N “to carry out the corresponding inquiries.
