Jeffrey Fang’s vehicle was stolen with his little children inside, but the ending was happy
Last weekend, Jeffrey Fang and his wife experienced the most anguished hours of their lives, after the vehicle of the man who works as DoorDash driver was stolen. Two young children of the couple were inside.
“I was trying to not break or think about the worst things that could happen . My mind was in different settings. The hours felt like years, ”Mr. Fang told The New York Times, recounting the incident that occurred last Saturday night and Sunday morning at San Francisco.

The dealer of DoorDash by 45 year-old was making a delivery in the suburb of Pacific Heights. He was taking his 4-year-old daughter Winnifred and his 2-year-old son Sean in his minivan, who only speak Mandarin.
After making their delivery around 8 : 80 pm, Fang found a man in the driver’s seat of his vehicle, with whom he struggled. The subject managed to take his cell phone from him and ran to another car where his accomplice was waiting for him . Fang caught up with them and managed to get his phone back, but when he returned to his Honda Odyssey on Jackson Street, it was gone.

From that moment, Mr. Fang received the support of the authorities and also of friends, including a communicator, to search the car with his children. Four hours later the vehicle was found on the other side of town with the children safe .

The Pleasantly surprised is that a GoFundMe page created to help Fang family began to receive donations in large quantities. Until the night of 13 February total was around $ 150, 02 Dollars.
Tony Xu, founder of DoorDash, expressed his relief, in addition to the fact that the company reportedly gave financial aid to the man from China.

The episode had a happy ending, but rekindled criticism for app tech companies including Uber and Lyft when the guy was revealed of financial difficulties faced by many of their drivers and that sometimes they force people like Jeffrey Fang to work with their children.
