As reported by the authority, the accident occurred on Calle de la Santa in the city of Lugano and a woman from 12 years who was driving a car and turned left to enter a supermarket parking lot, but did not see that the cyclist was coming straight ahead and cut him off.
For his part, Fernando Alonso was passing on the right to a column of several vehicles in the same direction of travel when it collided with the right side of the vehicle in question.

After the accident, several police and Green Cross agents arrived at the scene, who took the pilot to a local hospital ; Alonso was later transferred to Berna, where he underwent maxillofacial surgery.
The driver, who plans to return to Formula 1 this year wrote on Twitter that he was good and I was already looking forward to starting the season 2021 .
