The EV 600 was born as a joint project between GM and FedEx and now the postal company has received its first five units.
More precisely the American automaker has thinned responsibilities to BrightDrop, the firm in charge of starting these vehicles.
In itself, the EV 600 has the same Ultium Drive platform as the Hummer EV, along with other components that will surely be similar.
The autonomy is around 402 kilometers and each time it rests to recharge energy it can be supplied at a power of 120 kw in direct current . In this way, for each hour connected you will recover some 274 kilometers.
Regarding its aesthetics, it does not present a revolutionary design, rather it resembles any conventional delivery vehicle with its rectangular and simple shapes.
Inside, the EV 600 offers a generous screen of 13, 4 inches that can control the cameras in addition to a system automatic opening of the tailgate.
Also, driving assistants such as autonomous braking with pedestrian warning, lane keeping and blind spot warning will be added.
Thus the first units will already be available to fulfill the deliveries. BrightDrop t will also be in charge of supplying the 402 remaining to complete a voluminous fleet of 500 copies.
It should be remembered that the same policy has taken Amazon with Rivian. This is part of a strategic plan to optimize load distribution in a more environmentally friendly way.
