New reports from reveal what Americans searched the most online during 2021 with surprising results.

Reddit user u / V1Analytics created a one-minute video that illuminated the most popular search terms from the year’s recap 2021 in Google searches and Google’s daily search trends page.

The report began on January 6, 2021 and reveals that most people Googled “Capitol” and “Biden” .

Given that January 6 was the day of the attack on the United States Capitol, those search results are not surprising.

The surprising thing, however, is that six states actually did more searches for the Mega Millions jackpot that day.

Americans ended January searching for GameStop after its valuation soared in a stock market phenomenon.

In February , Americans turned their attention to The Weeknd and his Super Bowl performance.
