The Brazilian star Edson Arantes do Nascimento ‘Pelé’ received his medical discharge this Thursday after about two weeks admitted to a hospital in Sao Paulo, and will continue the treatment against the colon tumor that was detected in September and for which he had already been operated.

In said medical center in Sao Paulo the former footballer of 81 years he was hospitalized since the second week of December.

The triple world champion with Canarinha (1958, 1962 Y 1970) had come to the clinic for to undergo the last chemotherapy session of the year and, in a complementary way, to another series of examinations to know his state of health.

Pelé was hospitalized in that same clinic in the past 31 August for routine examinations that he had postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic and in which a tumor was detected in e l colon, which was operated on days later

He was discharged after a month in hospital and from then on he began chemotherapy treatment to which -according to the doctors- reacted in a “ satisfactory ”.

As on that occasion, Pelé has He left a message on his social networks during these last two weeks to reassure his followers.

“Don’t worry, I’m just getting ready for the end of the year holidays!” , he said with good mood a few days after being hospitalized again this month.

Pelé’s health has deteriorated in recent years due to problems in the spine, hip and knee that have reduced mobility and have forced to undergo surgery, in addition to suffering some kidney crises.
