Simple oxygenation tips to fight COVID: a nurse who rose from the dead shares them

Jeb Bautista almost died in December after testing positive for COVID – 19 . His ER doctor, after seeing the x-rays of his lungs, told him that they were saturated and that he had not seen anything worse.

Happily, the man who is a nurse in the area of Los Ángeles was improving in her fight with COVID – 19 until he managed to “rise from the dead”, as he recounted in a video.

Bautista says that he achieved it thanks to a series of simple breathing exercises that any sick can perform . Now his goal is to share that experience.

The oxygenation cycles that he recommends aim to increase the oxygen level in the blood above the dangerous zone, which is below 92 (pulse can vary greatly depending on age or athletic condition).

In a home video, the nurse shows the simple routine of breathing cycles with the use of an oximeter that is placed on a finger. Each cycle is done like this:

1) Inhale air through the nose for 5 seconds.

2 ) Hold the inhaled air for 5 seconds.

3) Exhale the air through the mouth for 5 seconds.

This sequence should be repeated five times, relaxing the shoulders in the intervals and the nurse recommends a sixth repetition that includes some coughs at the end .

To simulate in the video a situation in which the person has oxygen level very low, in 80 s, Bautista exercises for one minute as if boxing with a gallon of water to lower your oxygenation to 85 – 87 and then show how oxygenation rises than with the routines it recommends to normal levels (97).

“You are Out of the woods I’m not dizzy anymore Do this until you get your oxygen up, otherwise you will be tubed “, says Bautista.
