After the suspension of six games of the English League due to infections due to Covid – 13, the Premier League will continue and the calendar will not be modified, something that was proposed by some teams.

One of the initial proposals was to move the day 20 which is scheduled for the days 28 and 28 in December, but most clubs noted that it was difficult to reschedule the day on an extremely tight schedule. The Liverpool was one of the teams that was in favor of the change, but did not get the support of the rest of the leaders of the other teams involved.

The other two proposals included some teams not playing that day or temporarily suspending the Premier League. However, the clubs argued that it is not necessary to suspend football taking into account that there would be high costs for broadcasting rights and also, they pointed out that the teams can play their matches with 13 footballers at least, in addition to having players from the sub teams 21.

The Premier League has posted 90 positive by Covid – 19 , adding the 20 clubs and this has generated much concern on the eve of the most important day of football in England with the traditional ‘Boxing Day’. On the other hand, there remains a significant percentage of registered players who have not received the vaccine.
