Migrant traveled in search of the “American dream” to pay his mortgage and found his death in Mexico

Around fifty people watched this Sunday in Guatemala the remains of Daniel Arnulfo Pérez, one of the migrants who died on December 9 in a traffic accident in Mexico , where others 55 people died and more than 100 were injured.

The body of Pérez, of 41 years, he was repatriated on Saturday night to Guatemala, from Mexico , along with those of three other migrants, and his remains were veiled this Sunday in the department of Chimaltenango (center), where he was from.

The bodies of the other three deceased migrants were transferred to their villages births in the department of San Marcos (west), adjacent to Mexico.

Olivares painfully explained to journalists that, after learning of the accident, he traveled to Mexico on 10 and searched for her husband in five hospitals, until she finally found him in a morgue.

Pérez will be buried this Sunday afternoon in El Tejar , Chimaltenango , surrounded by his family and friends.

The accident occurred when a trailer carrying migrants hit the wall of a pedestrian bridge al, during his journey through Chiapas, presumably because the driver lost control due to speeding.

The more than 150 migrants who were transported in the truck had the objective of crossing Mexico to reach the United States.

According to the Mexican authorities, Other confirmed 10 deceased of Guatemalan nationality , and almost one Hundred of the injured also came from the Central American country.
