25 Algerian fans arrested for riots on the Champs Elysees in Paris

The French forces of order arrested on the night of Saturday to Sunday 25 people on the avenue des Champs-Élysées in Paris for the incidents that occurred during the celebrations of Algerian fans for the triumph of their team in the Arab Cup.

The Paris Police Prefecture explained on its Twitter account that, in addition to the arrests, its agents also imposed 378 fines and 45 circulation.

Hours earlier, the Police Prefecture had insisted on its social networks that concentrations on the Champs-Élysées were prohibited to avoid altercations.

The first signs of celebration by the Algerian fans occurred in the neighborhood of Barbès , northeast of the French capital, which concentrates a greater proportion of the population of Maghreb origin.

Then they went to the Champs Elysees, a traditional party place, and that this Saturday were very crowded on the eve of Christmas.
